Hockey Season!

For all those whose family lives and breathes hockey and want photos to capture the memories and the importance of hockey in your life....

I'd been thinking about putting together a hockey mini session package for the die hard hockey players for a while.  The good news is that there is now a date and a plan!

Mini session appointments will be scheduled in 15 minute increments on Friday, February 24 (by appointment only).

Please call (306) 867-2239 or email carlachabot@sasktel.net for more information on packages available.

Glam!

glam·our/ˈglamər/

Noun:
  1. The attractive or exciting quality that makes certain people or things seem appealing or special:
  2. Beauty or charm that is attractive.

Something a little different than babies and bellies.......how bout some glam boudoir?  Fresh, inspiring and liberating.  Boudoir doesn't have to be done for someone else. Take some time for you!

Baby Bump!

My studio was having a bit of an identity crisis this last week. There are a whole variety of props, furniture and backdrops all over as I've been shooting a real variety of families, maternity and boudoir lately.

Check out this glowing momma! Pregnancy just suits some people. We were able to schedule the session at 32 weeks along. The optimal time for belly shots is generally between 30-32 weeks, or even earlier for multiples. What a fun shoot!!

I simply can't wait to meet their new little baby the beginning of April and see what kind of shots we come up with then. This little baby will have no idea what he or she is in for as the first grandchild and great grandchild on both sides of the family. Can you say S-P-O-I-L-E-D?

You don't want to get caught, and I don't want to catch you. It's embarrassing,  uncomfortable for everyone, and not fair for my paying clients. Once you steal copyright, you can't just give it back. It's like stealing bubble gum from the store... pretty hard to give back.

Here's a reminder....

Please don't scan images for any type of use.

Please don't screen print images, even if you don't know it's wrong after getting the "right click" messing indicating that images are copyrighted.

Please don't remove watermarks or crop them out.

Please don't edit my work (even with Picnik) and make it your own on your website or Facebook page.

Please don't order prints and never pay for them.

Please don't book sessions with no intent of ever paying for them.

Please don't post images without proper credit to the photographer.

Please don't ask other photographers or printing places to assist in stealing copyright.

I'm pretty flexible, so if you have special requests just ask and we can usually work out a deal.

Remember When

Winter weddings are always fun. You don't really know what you're going to get in terms of weather in this province. Snow, wind, blizzard, freezing rain. It's all possible! This was a wedding I shot on the Remembrance Day long weekend with perfectly mild winter weather. We completely lucked out even though there wasn't a winter wonderland, there was a bit of snow and we were able to shoot at least a few images outside. I've never seen a bride have so much fun on her wedding day. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your special day. I loved being behind the scenes catching up with your family and getting in with all the action. Congrats Janice and Trent. All the best!

Newest Little Member

It was a real pleasure to spend some time with this new little man and his family. So sweet and so brand new. He did everything he was supposed to... eat, sleep and pee on dad :)   In an attempt to have a quieter than normal December, I didn't shoot much during the month. I can always make time for newborns though. The younger the better!

Last Shoot of the Year!

You know it's been too long since you last blogged when you forget the password. This blog has been neglected over the past year. Hopefully I'll find time to dust off the cobwebs and update it more frequently in the upcoming year. Be sure to watch as I feature a few 2011 highlights over the next few weeks.

I just want to take this time to thank all my clients for making 2011 a great year. I was able to see lots of long lost friends and make many new friendships. I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store. So far, dates for the new year are filling up quickly for grad and wedding season. Many of my past brides are expecting babies and I love watching the start of their new families.

We braved some ice and wind on Boxing Day and had a bit of fun with an engagement session. Here is a preview of my last shoot of the year with a great couple. Looking forward to spending the day capturing their vintage wedding in the upcoming year!!
