I've finally made the decision to create a blog. I'm horrible at updating my website with my newer work. Hopefully I'll be able to share a few sneak peaks of my recent shoots on here with the blog. My new goal for this year it to quit "thinking about doing stuff" and finally just do it and get it done, especially on the photography side of things. I've joined the Professional Photographers Association of Canada (PPOC) - Saskatchewan Chapter as an observer member and will be submitting my first portfolio for review real soon.  This is something that I've been too intimidated to do up until now. I'm super excited to partake in all the things that this association will offer this month with the webinar and new members course.

This May celebrates my first year doing photography full time. As many of you know, after my maternity leave with Morgan I made the decision to put away my corporate shoes for a couple of years and do something a little more fun (AKA photography... which is more fun than real work even on a bad day!!).  THANKS so much to all my clients and friends who have supported me with this new venture. It has been overwhelming and more than I could have ever imagined.
May is my favorite month of the year... not only because it is my birthday, my daughter's birthday and lots of special friends and relatives' birthdays, but it brings about a whole variety of shoots.  I'm looking forward to a full month of babies, grads, engagement, preschool graduation and family shoots! Stay tuned for some sneak peaks.....

With all the rainy weather this week, I had to juggle some shoots around. On Thursday amongst all the rain, I thought that I saw a break in the clouds and convinced Shelby to come out and play to do some grad casuals (instead of the formals with the grad dress that we had originally planned on).  I LOVE trash the dress shoots, but it's usually best to leave those until after the special occasion! We got rained on and a little muddy, but it was definitely worth it. Here are just a few shots that we got.... I love exploring what Outlook has to offer for locations. Thanks Shelby for showing me a few of these special locations!  If anyone has any ideas for locations in and around Outlook, be sure to email me!
