It's all about capturing moments. The best compliment that I can get about my work is when someone tells me that it brought tears to their eyes. That's the moment that I know that my job is done. I like to capture those special moments... the moments that you sometimes miss out on when you pose too much and forget about all the little details that make up the story. - Outlook, Saskatchewan Photographer -

Stacey & Brett
I was getting concerned about the wedding that I shot this past Saturday in Swift Current... not because of the couple, but this never-ending rain. We had prepared for the worst, embraced the weather and were ready to face the rain head on with polka dot rainboots, umbrellas and a smile. Somehow, we lucked out and got the most beautiful day and clouds I've seen in a long time. This couple {as well as their ball team of bridesmaids and groomsmen} were game for anything!
We hit the kite festival, where the lovely bride and groom were turned into minor celebrities when we had to stop shooting so that they could be interviewed by Southwest TV News. The feature will be on the Friday edition of the Summer Around Southwest Tour show.

Thanks to Rick, a local man with an unknown last name, who spent almost an hour getting a giant kite for us to fly in a private field. Somehow, somewhere, someone turned off the Saskatchewan winds on us and we weren't able to get shots with this big kite. We were still able to borrow a smaller kite for a few quick shots.
So.... After many kites, a couple italian sodas, meeting up with a couple long lost cousin-in-laws, and one tick later, we survived the wedding day and got some amazing shots. Here are just a few from the day. I plan to show more once the bride and groom get a chance to see them all. I absolutely can't wait to do the trash the dress shoot this summer with Stacey!!
